The Weirdo Co
The boring necessary bit

Terms of sale

Written to be read, not to be skipped. It is shorter than you expect.

Who you are buying from

Weirdo & Co, a small operation in Australia. Everything sold here is designed, printed and finished by us. Reach us through the contact page.

Orders

An order is accepted when we send you a confirmation. Until then it is an offer, and we can decline it, if a piece has sold at a market before the site caught up, if a price was wrong, or if we simply cannot make it. If we decline, you are refunded in full, immediately.

Prices are in Australian dollars and include GST where applicable.

Made to order

Most pieces are printed after you order them. Lead times are on the Shipping page and on each product.

A print can fail. When one does we start again and tell you, rather than sending you something we are not happy with.

What you are actually getting

These are made by a person, from plastic, one at a time.

  • Hand-painted pieces are not identical to each other or to the photograph. Close, but not identical. That is the point of them.
  • Layer lines exist. We do not hide them in photographs.
  • Colours shift between screens. We photograph honestly rather than flatteringly.
  • Dimensions are within a few millimetres.

Display pieces, not toys

Nothing here is tested to toy safety standards, and nothing is intended for children under three. Some pieces have thin or pointed parts.

PLA softens at around 60 °C. Keep them out of parked cars and direct summer sun.

Numbers and retirement

Each design carries a number. That number belongs to that design alone and is never given to another. It does not mean only one was made.

When a design is retired we say so, and we do not bring it back. We do not promise in advance how many of anything will be made, only that when it stops, it stops.

Designs stay ours

Buying a piece buys you the object. The design, the model file and the name stay ours.

You are welcome to photograph it, post it, and resell the physical piece you own. You may not copy it, cast it, scan it, or produce copies for sale. If you want to print and sell our designs, that is a commercial licence, ask us, it is a normal thing to want and a normal conversation to have.

Your consumer rights

Nothing in these terms limits the guarantees you have under Australian Consumer Law, and nothing here is intended to. Where anything above conflicts with those guarantees, the guarantees win. See Returns & refunds.

Liability

Other than the consumer guarantees above and anything else the law does not allow us to exclude, our liability is limited to replacing the piece or refunding what you paid for it.

Law

These terms are governed by the law of Australia.
