Privacy policy
We collect the least we can get away with, we do not sell it to anybody, and you can have it deleted by asking.
What we collect
If you buy something: your name, delivery address, email address, phone number if you give one, and what you ordered.
If you join the list: your email address. That is the entire record.
If you message us: whatever you put in the message.
Automatically: standard web server logs, and basic analytics about which pages get visited. Nothing that identifies you personally.
We never see your card details. Payment goes straight to the payment provider and is handled entirely on their systems. We could not look up your card number if we wanted to.
What we do with it
Send you the thing you bought. Answer your question. Email you when something is about to land, if you asked for that.
That is the list. There is nothing else on it.
Who else sees it
Only the businesses that have to, in order for an order to happen:
- The payment provider, to take the payment
- The courier, to deliver the parcel, name and address only
- The email service, if you are on the list
- The web host, which is where the site lives
We do not sell your details, rent them, trade them, or hand them to anybody for advertising. Not now and not if somebody offers us money for them later.
The email list
One email when something is about to land, and nothing in between. No newsletter, no updates, no “hi friends”.
Unsubscribe with one click from any email. We do not make you log in, confirm twice, or explain yourself.
How long we keep it
Order records are kept as long as we are required to for tax and warranty purposes. Email list entries are kept until you unsubscribe. Messages are kept until there is no reason to.
Your data, back or gone
Ask us and you can have a copy of what we hold about you, have it corrected, or have it deleted. We will not charge you and we will not make it difficult. Order records we are legally required to keep are the only exception.
Cookies
The cart needs a cookie to remember what is in it. Beyond that, whatever basic analytics is in use, and nothing sold on to advertisers. Block them in your browser if you would rather, the site works, the cart does not.
Changes, and how to complain
If this policy changes, the new version goes up here. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, tell us first and we will try to fix it. If that does not resolve it, you can take it to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
